Datuk Yong Teck Lee, the SAPP President, claimed that the Prime Minister through Datuk Musa Aman, the Sabah Chief Minister has offered him senatorship and a special envoy for the BIMP-EAGA or Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philiphines and the East Asean Growth Area. Yong claimed that the offers were a `political bribes'. He said the attempt to offer him the two posts were aims at `shutting his mouth'. The PM did not tell the about these when he commented about the SAPP's motion of no confidence against the Prime Minister. He was merely mentioning about Yong's `personal greed' that lead to steps taken by the SAPP's leadership.
It is news to many of us. Is it in the name of the game that these counter offers were secretly whispered to political opponents or components in this country. We have heard many times `political games' of these nature but it falls on `beneficial and greedy ears'. The supporters and the massess were used to be `taken for long ride' to despair and frustration. Political intergrity in remote areas!!!
Then this Deputy Cheif Minister, Datuk Raymond Tan who is also the Deputy President of SAPP, who is leading a so called Sandakan Rebellion. He and SAPP' s Youth Chief Au Kam Wah were the only two rebellions in the SAPP's supreme council members who had endorsed the move of no confidence to the PM. Raymond has been reportedly preparing for a report to the Sabah Chief Minister and the Prime Minister to `brief' them about the SAPP's supreme council meeting. A good move for Raymond to enhance his political stature. Most deputies ( in most political parties) will do the same. It is definitely a smart calculated move, with a `calculator' in hand!!!
Now all of sudden BPR came into the picture. Aha...BPR siasat Yong..of RM5 million. That BPR investigation were initiated from statements by a witness in the Tan Sri Kasitah Gadam's corruption case. Congratulation to BPR for an alert move. A word from the witness stand could lead to an investigation, right? Somebody was mentioning Yong Teck Lee's name when he was the Sabah Cheif Minister and some amount of money was mentioned too. The BPR heard that. That is what we call efficient and proactive. Am I glad to hear that. We sincerely hope that more `words' would lead to more investigation, without fear or favour. I personally would like to move a vote of confidence to BPR. Congrat!!!.
