MY SINCERE CONGRATULATION TO BPR, AND ONG TEE KEAT TOO?

Dato Ong Tee Keat as Minister of Transport at an MAB's function recently.

I wish to congratulate BPR for a 'well done job' on the arrest of Puspakom staff recently. It was something that needs a big pat on the shoulders. They came in as clerks, traffic wardens and even tea boys and posed as new employed workers in Puspakom. It took them months as undercover workers in Puspakom to find the culprits who were alleged to take bribes for certifying commercial vehicles without even inspecting them. It works well with the cooperation of Puspakom senior management staff. I take my hat for them.

So far a dozen more officers from Puspakom has been nabbed and eight more held as operation continues. It was indeed an honourable job if done in the sincere and meaningful manner. This is definitely a different issue altogether from the other recent arrests. I beg to differ, it is not like arresting the two PKR's EXCO on the eve of Permatang Pauh's by election. This looks genuine and BPR's worthy. My congratulation to BPR, the people are right behind you all. Be honest and responsible with noble missions of the nation. Do it without fear or favour.

Meanwhile Dato Ir Ong Tee Keat, Minister of Transport has called for BPR to investigate RTD too. He wants his Ministry to be free of graft. That is terribly good Minister Ong, at least you are honest and sincere about the agencies under your ministry. That is what we call transparent and integrity. You are not affected by the 'virus of denial syndrome' that most ministers and heads of government have been suffering all this while. Keep up the good attitude. Tee Keat claimed that Road Transport Department is one of the agency under his ministry that needs investigation by BPR, though he refused to name the other agency.

My only reservation is about the 4.6 billion PKFZ scandal that needs to be answered by Ong Tee Keat himself as Minister of Transport. There were questions of 'willing buyer willing seller' of RM25 sqf of 1,000 acres of land in Pulau Indah and the letter of support by the Ministry to a private company Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd, which were owned by MCA and UMNO strongmen. This is an issue that still haunt the people nationwide and it involved his Ministry though at that time it was headed by his former boss Ling Liong Sik. He has the obligation to clear the air about his firm stand on this alleged scandal. You have to say something Mr Future MCA President!!!
