More Confusions and TNB's attempt to raise pay package.

Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe - a nationalist or a dictator!

Dr Mahathir Mohamad tonight defended strongly on accucations by Justice Ian Chin last week about the `veiled threat' that were `hounding' the judges during the former's Prime Minister's administration. Mahathir had blasted Ian Chin for being unethical and indiscipline when he was presiding cases brought to his courts. He cited one case where Ian Chin has not acted professionally as a judge during one of his case involving a prominent personality. Mahathir claimed that Ian had grudge with one the judges, who was presiding a case involving Ian's brother. Now this a case of who is more well behaved, Ian Chin or Mahathir Mohamad.

This is another war of `words of two human being' who were supposed to be entrusted with respect, intergrity and responsibility. One was a judge of the highest level and the other was the Prime Minister of the country. Both are supposed to be a learned men of their own nature. Both are respected personalities. Both are trying to prove that they are right, at least, in this particular issue. We cannot have both, one could be the `not so good' guy.

Nevertheless both are human being, an ordinary one, to their God and their Creator. To give the benefits of the doubt, both are highly intelectual, highly esteemed and very articulate in their own field. Perhap the only lacking is the truth. Who could the one who was not speaking the truth. A former high court judge or a former Prime Minister. I would not like to think any of them not telling the truth. I would like to think that both were telling the truth. But it is not the case here now. Both of them are definitely not liars but one of them was not telling the truth.

Then we heard a statement by the Minister of Finance that the application for a raise of hundred percent in pay package of TNB's CEO was not approved. Khazanah who owns TNB applied to Ministry of Finance to justify the raise but was turned down. That was the best news that we could ever think of this whole year. It was a perfect move on the part of the Ministry. Our only concern was that how Khazanah and TNB have got the gut and the rightful mind to even ask for the raise during this hard time.

Only the other night the Minister in charge of TNB said he was also upset about the intented plan to raise the pay of the CEO of TNB by hundred percent. The Minister was explaining about the restructuring of TNB's tariff. The consumers will never be happy to hear that, because somehow it will tax more of their day to day operational and maintainance costs. Majority of the people will suffer. The CEO and the CFO want a raise and Khazanah agreed to it, and by hundred percent! This is another form of greed that can never be met at any circumstances.

Sir,

Dr Mahathir Mohamad was and still a politician, and you can never trust a politician even if they can be trusted.

So I voted for Ian Chin.
