Ong Ka Ting and Chan Kong Choy will not seek re election for top two posts in MCA

Another political bombshell exploded the other day. MCA President Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting has announced that he would not be defending his president seat in the coming MCA's party election. His Deputy, Tan Sri Chang Kong Choy has echoed the same intention. It maybe shocking to some MCA members and most political friends and foes but decision has been made by the two leaders.

The situation now is, the two posts will be up for grab during the MCA election due end of this year. Who will be the likely candidates for the two most powerful posts in the second largest party in the ruling Barisan Nasional will be watched not only the BN partners but also by the opposition parties.

The big question now is why. Are Ka Ting and Kong Choy under pressure not to seek re election. Or is it a political strategy or an election ploy. Or is it a calculated political move by the two and his followers. Or is it something else beyond political retreats of the Chinese based party. All these questions need answers and it would not be long to get them.

Good move to both of you. A great sense of responsibility. That is how a gentlement should behave.

You are not indispensible. There are people out there to take your place and maybe better. MCA must stay.

You two taking the right step. Good luck to you two.

Salam hormat...

It is the most gentleman move by both of them which I believe it is due to uncertainty future of B-Natang coalition. This couple with support to MCA by grassroots which I again believe is loosing down upon arrogant leaders in um-NO as well.

Both of them are smart for not to be blamed by Chinese community when current stupid um-NO leaders are forced to step down soon which resulting B-Natang will pull them also to the bottom of the sea should they still lead the MCA.

Another version is that they really love to serve for MCA but to avoid any crack under pressure situation which may jeopardize the unity of Chinese in Malaysia, they voluntarily step down. Wa respect lu lah!!!...

What about those in um-NO? Haven’t you make enough money by ways of so-called corruption. Please think about you own Malay and talk something informative without forgetting that we are not stupid as you are.

Bukan apa, nak bagi elokkk…
